Ahhhhhh! I am sick! Both mommy and I had to take a sick day today! And I have not been sick that much in my young life, so this is VERY different for me.
How did I get pink eye? Who knows. All I know is this - my eyes are swollen and my nose is running like a faucet. Grandpa Bird has helped a bit by playing "Let it go" on his computer. Other than that, Grandpa Bird has been keeping his space from me. He told me I looked slimy with all the medicine I have on my face. Oh well...
Today I am just going to rest and do things low key. I need to get back to day camp tomorrow. Those younger babies need a role model, that person is me! Ta-ta for now. I will check in more later!
Hi everybody! Guess what? I am now 6 months old! My Mommy said that is 1/2 year, whatever that means! So on my birthday weekend, I spent some time with good old Grammy and Grandpa Bird. Above you will see a picture of me and Grandpa Bird. When Grandpa Bird saw this picture, he made fun of me! He said I had a silly look of my face! Well guess what Grandpa Bird - anyone wearing a pair of goofy pants like you had on should not make fun of ANYONE!
Anyhow, I spent the night there on Friday and most of the day on Saturday. This let Mommy and Daddy pack up our house so we could move soon. When we move, we will living with Grammy and Grandpa Bird for a year! Then our new house will be done and we will move again. I sure hope Grandpa Bird finds his other pants so he does have to wear those silly pants while I am living here! I do have standards!
Well, I have to go. Now that I have started on some solid food, Mommy shoves something odd and tasteless in my mouth every day. I might get some this morning. I will write more later. Bye!
Hi folks! It is me, Cash Robert once again. Well this weekend I had a BIG adventure! I did an overnight at Grandma and Grandpa's house! It is not that Mommy and Daddy wanted to get rid of me, they had to clean and get the house ready for some new appliances being delivered next week.
So many times Grandma and Grandpa tell me I am a handful (especially Grandpa). Well, guess what? SO ARE THEY! They can really wear a young lad like me out. Yesterday I had just finished breakfast when Grandpa decided to put me in my chair at the table. I was still tired from the day before. Grandpa let me listen to Raffi and play with some toys. All of a sudden, my eyes got really, really heavy. Then my head started to sink. Before I knew it, Grandma had me out of my chair and back in my crib taking a real nap!
Anyway, I am home now with Mommy and Daddy. Today we are going to celebrate Father's Day. My first! Yippee! Then we are going over to Grandma and Grandpa's to see them (again) as well as Auntie Brit. Mommy said it was Father's Day for Grandpa also, but I don't get it. He is not a Father, only a Grandpa!
Oh well, have a great day. I will check back in next week or so!
Hi folks. Cash Robert here. I am not having a good day with my Grandpa. I did a few thing wrong I think. I think they were wrong, but at my age, who knows what wrong is? First, I went grocery shopping with Grandma and Grandpa this morning. The last store we were in, some big shot was there. My Grandpa said, "Oh, Cash - I need to meet and talk to this man." As Grandpa went up to him, this talk man named Mark Rosen looked down at me and started to talk to me. He dropped my Grandpa like a rock. He like me better! Grandpa was NOT happy!
Then when we got back to Grandpa's house, I kept grabbing his toes that got too close to my tummy time. I know that his feet are very sensitive these days. But who cares? I was fun to grab his toes and squeeze them as hard as I could!
Then he scolded me about leaving my toys and my teething rings all over the place. Blah, blah, blah. I am after all, less than 5 months old. Grandpa better get used to this as when I get older, I will really be messy! All part of being a little boy!
Well anyway, I am ready for another cold one. I am up to 4 oz. of milk each feeding now and I am feeling my oats! Speaking of which, I hear through the rumor mill I will be starting on some cereal before too long. Anyhow, ta-ta for now! Time to pinch Grandpa's toes again!
Hi everyone! Baby Bird Cash here. Hey! Today is my birthday! I am four months old! That is kind of a big deal, right? My Grandpa Bird does not think so. He says until I am old enough to come over to his house and help with the grass, my monthly birthdays are no big deal! That kind of hurt my feelings. Just this past week I gave Grandpa Bird the ultimate act of friendship and love - I offered him my favorite plug. And he turned it down! I was crushed!
Anyhow, Mommy and I are going over to visit Grandpa Bird and Grandma Sue. A bonus for me is Auntie Brit will be there also! Yea - I get to be "baby wrapped" by Auntie Brit again today!
I am excited that for dinner tonight I will once again get some yummy milk. Grandpa will be cooking some kind of dead cow and dead fish on the grill for the adults. Why anyone would want dead cow or dead fish rather than milk is beyond me! Well, have to go! Nature is calling! Time for an oil change and lube at the diaper table. See you all later!
I understand my blabby Grandpa put something on Facebook about me being in the hospital. I warned him about my privacy! However, it is true. I was in a hospital. Boy, it seems like just 3 months ago I was in another hospital - getting born! Anyhow, shortly after I was born the doctors thought I need a little "tweak" in my heart chambers. Something about getting the pressure changed just a bit. My Mommy was freaking out, and the doctor told her this was not that uncommon and the procedure to fix it was just an overnight visit at the University of Minnesota's Children's Hospital.
To me, it was just like taking a nap. When I woke up, I was hungry! For some reason, they did not let Mommy give me my morning breakfast! But don't worry - I made up for it. I was drinking milk and formula as fast as you could say "slow down big boy!"
In any event, just before we left to go home to the cats, I did what I do the best - I charmed the hospital staff. My Grandma always tells me I am going to be a "lady killer". Heck, I don't want to hurt anyone! I just want to eat, sleep, and charm.
Well I have to go now. Thanks for all the good wishes! I really am doing well right now. Next stop on my life adventure will be my Baptism next month. Then I will be old enough for Mommy to have me outside with the new sun hat Grandma bought me. Life is good for sure. More later!
Hi! Cash Robert here! Today we had Easter with my family. I know - last week was also Easter. My Aunt Brit had to work last Sunday so she missed out on the real Easter. That was the day grandma and grandpa took us out to a thing called "brunch". So Aunt Brit figured it was Orthodox Easter today and that might work out. In any event, after a week at day camp, it was good to be back at grandma and grandpa's. PLUS - the big bonus was having my Aunt Brit here!
It was a goofy time for sure. Lots of silly stories, some Raffi, some Johnny Cash, and lots of loving. Then, my Aunt Brit grabbed me and put me in this thing called a "baby wrap". Mommy had to supervise how it was tied as she did not want me falling on the floor! Once I was in it, I could not move an inch as my arms and legs were captive. I felt like I was under arrest! In any event, even though this was not the real Easter we celebrated, it was a good day. Now we are driving home through this terrible storm and then I will get to "dress down" for the day. Jammies, here I come! Talk to you soon! Time for another nap....
