Pink Eye!

Ahhhhhh! I am sick! Both mommy and I had to take a sick day today! And I have not been sick that much in my young life, so this is VERY different for me.

How did I get pink eye? Who knows. All I know is this - my eyes are swollen and my nose is running like a faucet. Grandpa Bird has helped a bit by playing "Let it go" on his computer. Other than that, Grandpa Bird has been keeping his space from me. He told me I looked slimy with all the medicine I have on my face. Oh well...

Today I am just going to rest and do things low key. I need to get back to day camp tomorrow. Those younger babies need a role model, that person is me! Ta-ta for now. I will check in more later!

Holy smokes am I getting old!

Hi everybody! Guess what? I am now 6 months old! My Mommy said that is 1/2 year, whatever that means! So on my birthday weekend, I spent some time with good old Grammy and Grandpa Bird. Above you will see a picture of me and Grandpa Bird. When Grandpa Bird saw this picture, he made fun of me! He said I had a silly look of my face! Well guess what Grandpa Bird - anyone wearing a pair of goofy pants like you had on should not make fun of ANYONE!

Anyhow, I spent the night there on Friday and most of the day on Saturday. This let Mommy and Daddy pack up our house so we could move soon. When we move, we will living with Grammy and Grandpa Bird for a year! Then our new house will be done and we will move again. I sure hope Grandpa Bird finds his other pants so he does have to wear those silly pants while I am living here! I do have standards!

Well, I have to go. Now that I have started on some solid food, Mommy shoves something odd and tasteless in my mouth every day. I might get some this morning. I will write more later. Bye!

I am beat!

Hi folks! It is me, Cash Robert once again. Well this weekend I had a BIG adventure! I did an overnight at Grandma and Grandpa's house! It is not that Mommy and Daddy wanted to get rid of me, they had to clean and get the house ready for some new appliances being delivered next week.

So many times Grandma and Grandpa tell me I am a handful (especially Grandpa). Well, guess what? SO ARE THEY! They can really wear a young lad like me out. Yesterday I had just finished breakfast when Grandpa decided to put me in my chair at the table. I was still tired from the day before. Grandpa let me listen to Raffi and play with some toys. All of a sudden, my eyes got really, really heavy. Then my head started to sink. Before I knew it, Grandma had me out of my chair and back in my crib taking a real nap!

Anyway, I am home now with Mommy and Daddy. Today we are going to celebrate Father's Day. My first! Yippee! Then we are going over to Grandma and Grandpa's to see them (again) as well as Auntie Brit. Mommy said it was Father's Day for Grandpa also, but I don't get it. He is not a Father, only a Grandpa!

Oh well, have a great day. I will check back in next week or so!

I am in big trouble!

Hi folks. Cash Robert here. I am not having a good day with my Grandpa. I did a few thing wrong I think. I think they were wrong, but at my age, who knows what wrong is? First, I went grocery shopping with Grandma and Grandpa this morning. The last store we were in, some big shot was there. My Grandpa said, "Oh, Cash - I need to meet and talk to this man." As Grandpa went up to him, this talk man named Mark Rosen looked down at me and started to talk to me. He dropped my Grandpa like a rock. He like me better! Grandpa was NOT happy!

Then when we got back to Grandpa's house, I kept grabbing his toes that got too close to my tummy time. I know that his feet are very sensitive these days. But who cares? I was fun to grab his toes and squeeze them as hard as I could!

Then he scolded me about leaving my toys and my teething rings all over the place. Blah, blah, blah. I am after all, less than 5 months old. Grandpa better get used to this as when I get older, I will really be messy! All part of being a little boy!

Well anyway, I am ready for another cold one. I am up to 4 oz. of milk each feeding now and I am feeling my oats! Speaking of which, I hear through the rumor mill I will be starting on some cereal before too long. Anyhow, ta-ta for now! Time to pinch Grandpa's toes again!

Happy birthday to me!

Hi everyone! Baby Bird Cash here. Hey! Today is my birthday! I am four months old! That is kind of a big deal, right? My Grandpa Bird does not think so. He says until I am old enough to come over to his house and help with the grass, my monthly birthdays are no big deal! That kind of hurt my feelings. Just this past week I gave Grandpa Bird the ultimate act of friendship and love - I offered him my favorite plug. And he turned it down! I was crushed!

Anyhow, Mommy and I are going over to visit Grandpa Bird and Grandma Sue. A bonus for me is Auntie Brit will be there also! Yea - I get to be "baby wrapped" by Auntie Brit again today!

I am excited that for dinner tonight I will once again get some yummy milk. Grandpa will be cooking some kind of dead cow and dead fish on the grill for the adults. Why anyone would want dead cow or dead fish rather than milk is beyond me! Well, have to go! Nature is calling! Time for an oil change and lube at the diaper table. See you all later!

Hey! I am back!

I understand my blabby Grandpa put something on Facebook about me being in the hospital. I warned him about my privacy! However, it is true. I was in a hospital. Boy, it seems like just 3 months ago I was in another hospital - getting born! Anyhow, shortly after I was born the doctors thought I need a little "tweak" in my heart chambers. Something about getting the pressure changed just a bit. My Mommy was freaking out, and the doctor told her this was not that uncommon and the procedure to fix it was just an overnight visit at the University of Minnesota's Children's Hospital.

To me, it was just like taking a nap. When I woke up, I was hungry! For some reason, they did not let Mommy give me my morning breakfast! But don't worry - I made up for it. I was drinking milk and formula as fast as you could say "slow down big boy!"

In any event, just before we left to go home to the cats, I did what I do the best - I charmed the hospital staff. My Grandma always tells me I am going to be a "lady killer". Heck, I don't want to hurt anyone! I just want to eat, sleep, and charm.

Well I have to go now. Thanks for all the good wishes! I really am doing well right now. Next stop on my life adventure will be my Baptism next month. Then I will be old enough for Mommy to have me outside with the new sun hat Grandma bought me. Life is good for sure. More later!

Which Easter is which?

Hi! Cash Robert here! Today we had Easter with my family. I know - last week was also Easter. My Aunt Brit had to work last Sunday so she missed out on the real Easter. That was the day grandma and grandpa took us out to a thing called "brunch".  So Aunt Brit figured it was Orthodox Easter today and that might work out. In any event, after a week at day camp, it was good to be back at grandma and grandpa's. PLUS - the big bonus was having my Aunt Brit here!

It was a goofy time for sure. Lots of silly stories, some Raffi, some Johnny Cash, and lots of loving. Then, my Aunt Brit grabbed me and put me in this thing called a "baby wrap". Mommy had to supervise how it was tied as she did not want me falling on the floor! Once I was in it, I could not move an inch as my arms and legs were captive. I felt like I was under arrest! In any event, even though this was not the real Easter we celebrated, it was a good day. Now we are driving home through this terrible storm and then I will get to "dress down" for the day. Jammies, here I come! Talk to you soon! Time for another nap....

Easter Sunday - One long day!

Well it will be nice to get to my new day camp today just to relax! I am thinking I will be napping a bit more than normal. Yesterday, after my much needed morning feeding, Mommy and Daddy got me "dressed to the nines" and we had a big day out.

First things first. We met Grandma and Grandpa at this fancy restaurant close to where I live. It was called rock house or rock woods or something like that. I guess they do this every Easter after this thing called church. In any event, I was tired and slept through brunch. No big deal as I could not eat that type of food anyhow. Me? I am just a milk guy!

Then it was over to see some cousins I had not seen as yet. That was great, as the cousins are both gals and made a big fuss over me. Speaking of fuss, that is what I decided to for a bit - get fussy. We stayed for awhile and then headed over to see my other Grandma and Grandpa so my Mommy and Daddy could have some more adult food. And then home. FINALLY!

Anyhow, it was a big day but a good day. Hope you all had a great Easter also! I will write later this week about my new day camp! TTFN!

A smirk is as good as a smile!

Hi friends! Baby Bird Cash here. Well my vacation time with Mommy is just about up. Yep. It is back to work for her very soon. And I will start my new adventure of meeting new kids at the day camp she is taking me to. I will miss Mommy doting over me. I will miss my VERY frequent trips to Grandma and Grandpa's house. How frequent? Most every day! They say they like having me over, even when I am fussy. And when I poop in my diaper (which can be often).

I have a very good friend named Brexton. Mommy says he is like a BFF, whatever that means! He is about my age and we have quite a bit of fun together. My grandpa says Brexton is the most smiley kid he has ever seen. Brexton does smile quite a bit for sure. But I can smirk! And I can do it well!

So when I start day camp on Monday, I will be wearing my smirk. I hear the ladies love it! I am hoping there are some ladies there about my age. If not, I hope I can make another friend like Brexton. Anyhow, HAPPY EASTER everyone! I will write more after I start day camp. TTFN!

First Haircut

Ha! I knew I could get you with this one! I am going for my first haircut tomorrow. No - not one hair off my bald head will be touched. However, my Grandpa (who always looks like he needs a good grooming), my Grandma (who always looks good), and my Mommy (who is back to work on Monday), are going to be the victims. I am VERY anxious to meet Grandma and Grandpa's friend Kristie tomorrow. Both Mommy and I have heard quite a bit about her!

Mommy and I stayed for a visit and then supper and my Grandparents. Both Mommy and I were dodging raindrops and lightning after dinner when we left. I have never seen rain before. Guess what! Rain is wet! And all that thunder - it can be loud! Well, home for a quick diaper change, another bottle and then more sleep. I don't understand why the big people have to work around the house or outside of the house. Why can't we all just eat, sleep and ... never mind. TTFN!

What the hey?

"Please, please don't laugh! I did not dress myself this morning!"

I got up this morning just fine thank you! The next thing I know, I am being put in some alien looking outfit. This thing has ears and feet with paws on it! For my first Palm Sunday, you have me looking like this? Please, please...can I just have my bottle and a clean diaper? I will be good for the rest of the day. And then making me take a picture with that goofy rabbit? Come on Mom and Dad - please don't scar me for life! Well, in any event - it is over. All the candy I earned was gathered up by Mom and Dad. Something about me being too young. Well, I don't buy that in a second! Well time to go. Methinks my diaper might be full and another bottle is at the ready. TTFN my adult friends! More later on this week!

Can't talk now - I am shot!

Okay. Not really shot - yesterday, I just had a bunch of shots! Ouch! But that was yesterday and today is today. I am MUCH more interested in what Grandma Sue is doing with me! More toys, more music, more reading to me (although I can't understand much as yet!) I am feeling better today after getting more shots than my grandpas did when going in the Navy! Mommy is cooking a whole bunch of chow for when she goes back to work and I get to go to someplace with a bunch of kids like me! Well, enough for now - more food is in my forecast! C U all later!

Hey! I am 2 months old today!

Today's article is done by my Mommy and Grandpa Bird helped me put in on my blog!

Hi. Cash here. Can you believe I'm 2 months old today?? It sure has been an eventful month. I can now...
- smile and coo. It melts Mom's heart when I do this.
- spit, blow bubbles, and stick out my tongue.
- play with toys! My favorite is Mr. Goggly Eyes on my bouncer, but the fun toys hanging from my car seat are a close second.
- sing silly songs! I dig Raffi and 'Shake my Sillies Out' with Grammy Sue and Grandpa Bird....

- move my legs! Especially when I hear music or get excited.
- I'm also gaining some weight! I am 10 pounds and hoping to be at the 11 pound mark by tomorrow's doctor appointment!

My big whoops!

Hello again. Cash Robert here with just a quick little tale. Yesterday, Mommy and I went to visit Grandma and Grandpa. I am starting to get used to them now. Grandma loves to spoil me. I like that! Grandpa however is a bit strange. He has hair on his face and sometimes when he gets too close to me - ouch! It can be prickly!

Well yesterday Mommy wanted to go work out. She thinks that all the time I was in her belly she got out of shape. Hey! What about me? Anyway, Grandma and Grandpa watched me when Mommy was gone. Once Mommy got home, she had to take a shower. As for me, I was getting hungry! So as Grandpa was holding me, I just leaned my head over and tried to nurse. Heck, I am only 7 weeks old. How should I know their is a difference?

Grandpa was not happy! He muttered something under his breath and it was probably good that I could not understand it. He did spend quite a bit of time in the Navy you know! Anyhow, soon Mommy was done in the shower and I could finally get fed by the real stuff.

Well, I have to go. I think I might have to go to the bathroom. In fact, I think I might be going right now! TTFN!

Hello World!

Hello world! I am here! One of Grandpa Bird's friends suggested that after being cooped up inside of Mommy, and just being in a listening mode for nine months, I might have stuff to say now that I am free! And I do! Grandpa Bird's friend went on to say that I might have to start a blog to say stuff. Yippee! Great idea! Maybe Mommy can help Grandpa Bird out in getting my ideas and viewpoints down on paper.

More stuff coming soon. It is feeding time (when is it not?) and then maybe a nap or a diaper change. Life is good when you are seven weeks old - that is unless I get fussy about - whatever. Okay, good-bye for now!
